National Lottery of Tanzania Partners with Selcom Tanzania to Ensure Seamless Access to Lottery Services Nationwide
The partnership with Selcom is a crucial step in ensuring that the National Lottery is accessible to all Tanzanians, regardless of location. By leveraging Selcom’s extensive payment infrastructure, lottery participants will be able to purchase tickets and claim winnings through multiple channels, including mobile money platforms, USSD codes, bank transfers, Selcom Huduma agents (over 30,000 agents across Tanzania), and approximately 10 Selcom Experience Centres that are being rolled out across the country, designed to offer a wide range of Selcom services while also supporting the National Lottery partnership. Participants will additionally benefit from digital wallet access via Selcom Pesa and duka.direct. Selcom’s integration with various financial institutions and payment partners ensures that even those in remote areas will have equal opportunities to engage with the National Lottery.
The ITHUBA Tanzania Director Mr. Kelvin Koka, highlighted the significance of the partnership with Selcom Tanzania. He said “This marks a major step toward bringing an inclusive and well-structured lottery system to the country. By working with Selcom, we are ensuring that when we launch, every Tanzanian regardless of location has an easy and safe way to take part. This collaboration is key to delivering a lottery experience that is both accessible and secure.”
